Create your Genuka account and finish onboarding
What you will have: Your business exists on Genuka, with its name, currency and country, and you land on the dashboard.
A well-started account saves you from correcting the name, currency or country later on documents already issued.
Why it matters
Before selling, Genuka needs to know your business: its name, currency, country and what you want to manage in it. Sign-up takes a few seconds, then a short welcome flow (onboarding) asks you these questions and prepares your space. You then land on the dashboard with a first action to do.
Summary
The Create your account screen creates your personal account and your business at the same time. You are its Administrator. Genuka also opens a 7-day trial of the Business plan, then guides you through onboarding.
Before you start
- A WhatsApp number or an email address you can access.
- No special permission: sign-up is public.
Steps: create the account
- Open the Genuka sign-up page (Create an account from the sign-in screen).
- Choose a method. One is open, the others are offered under OR SIGN UP WITH:
- WhatsApp: enter your WhatsApp number, click Send me a code, then type the code you received on WhatsApp;
- Email code: same principle, with a six-digit code sent by email;
- Password: Email and Password (8 characters minimum), then Create my account;
- Google, when it is offered.
- By continuing, you accept the terms and conditions and the privacy policy (the reminder shows under the form).
- Genuka creates the account and sends you straight into onboarding.
Email and password is always available. WhatsApp and email codes, and Google, only appear if they are open on the platform.
Steps: onboarding
The welcome flow has six steps. Skip lets you move on without answering the optional steps.
- What brings you here?: your first name ("First, what's your name?"), then:
- I'm here to run my business: the rest of the flow;
- I'd rather look around first: Genuka fills your space with a sample shop for the type of business you choose (products, customers, one month of sales).
- Where did you hear about us?
- Let's talk about your business: four required fields: Business name, Sector, Country, Currency. Optional: WhatsApp number, number of employees and points of sale, whether the business is already registered, start year, description of the activity.
- The way you work: what you use today (Excel, a notebook, WhatsApp...) and what you want to manage here. Sales, products, customers and stock are already included; tick the rest (accounting, website, appointments, deliveries, marketing...).
- Here's what we suggest: the modules turned on for you and what to start with. Choose I'll get started, or I'd like a hand: a prefilled WhatsApp message goes to the Genuka team so they help you set everything up.
- Let's start: a first action depending on your business: add your first products, Import my catalogue (Excel or CSV), invite a colleague, enter your opening hours, or record a first sale. Later and Go to the dashboard end the flow.
On the dashboard, the Your next missions panel lists the actions that remain to be done.

Edge cases and common mistakes
- "This account already exists": the email address already has a Genuka account. The window lists the businesses linked to it: Sign in to my account, or Create another business to add a new business to the same account.
- A WhatsApp or email code for an identity already known signs you in to the existing account instead of creating a new one.
- An invitation was waiting on your number: the WhatsApp code attaches it to your account, and creates that account if the number had only been used for the invitation. Then accept it to join the business (see "Invite a team member").
- "This code is not valid.": retype it, or Resend the code after the delay shown.
- The business name shown is wrong: until the Let's talk about your business step is filled in, the business has a temporary name. Fix it at that step or in Settings › Company › Company Info.
- You are in the sample shop: a banner reminds you. Switch to my real data erases the samples; what you created yourself stays.
- Accounts created before the onboarding redesign may have seen a shorter flow (source, team, features, catalog). It does not need to be redone.
FAQ
Is sign-up paid? No. Genuka opens a 7-day trial of the Business plan. To continue afterwards, you need to choose a plan (see "Choose, change and pay for your plan").
Can I have several businesses with the same account? Yes. Use Create another business when Genuka recognizes your address. You then move from one business to another from your profile menu.
Does my employee need to create their own account? No. Invite them from Settings › Company › Team: they join your business with the role you give them (see "Invite a team member").
I want help getting started. Choose I'd like a hand at the recommendation step, or contact support (see "Contact Genuka support").
