Create a website page (About, Terms, Shipping…)

What you will have: Your key pages (About, Terms, Shipping) are written and available on your site.

Your customers find answers on their own instead of asking you the same questions on WhatsApp.

Why it matters

Before ordering, a customer wants to know who you are, how you deliver and what happens if they return something. Pages answer these questions once and for all, instead of repeating them to each customer on WhatsApp. You write them in Genuka, like a document.

Summary

A page is fixed content on your site: About, Terms and Conditions, Shipping, Contact… It has a title, a handle that forms its address (/about), an optional featured image and formatted content. A saved page has no draft status: it is available to the site as soon as you save it.

Requirements

  • The pages.view permission to see the list; pages.create, pages.update or pages.delete to create, edit or delete.

Steps

  1. Open Settings › Website › Pages. The list shows the Title, URL and Last update of each page.
  2. Click Add page.
  3. Enter the Title. The Handle fills in on its own from the title; fix it if needed (lowercase letters, digits and hyphens).
  4. Write the content in the editor: headings, lists, bold, links.
  5. If you want, add a Featured image.
  6. Click Save page. The page's details open.

To edit a page, click its title in the list, change what you need, then click Save. To delete it: Delete page, then confirm.

For a first draft, use Generate with AI from the pages list (see the dedicated lesson).

Fields & options

FieldDescriptionRequired
TitleName of the page, shown on the site.yes
HandleEnd of the page address (/shipping). Created from the title.yes (automatic)
ContentThe page text, formatted in the editor.no
Featured imageAn illustration image.no

Edge cases & common mistakes

  • Changing the title changes the address. On an existing page, editing the title also rewrites the handle. Links already shared to the old address stop working. After changing the title, put the old handle back if you want to keep the address.
  • Two pages with the same handle. Genuka does not prevent it. Only one of the two will be found at that address: give each page a different handle.
  • The content cannot be emptied completely. If you erase all the text of a page and save, the old content is kept. Leave at least one sentence, or delete the page.
  • "Title is required": the page cannot be saved without a title.
  • The page does not appear in the site menu. Where and how pages are listed depends on the site (online store theme or site created by the agent), not on this screen.

FAQ

Is my page online as soon as I save it? Yes, there is no draft mode. If you are not ready, do not save, or keep the text elsewhere for now.

Which pages should I create first? The ones that answer the questions your customers ask most: shipping, returns and refunds, who you are, how to contact you.

Can the AI agent create a page for me? Yes: the Generate with AI button in the pages list writes one or more, and the Genuka assistant can also create one on request.
